Girondins-Bordeaux of France winger, Samuel Kalu has disclosed that he had an amazing feeling being back in action on the field of play with his teammates last weekend, following an injury he copped on March 9.
After missing several pivotal games for club and country in almost two months, Kalu finally returned to action against Reims on Saturday and, though he admits he was sad not being able to save his side from losing at home, the ex-KAA Gent of Belgium star says he felt happy to be back.
Megasportsarena.com can report that, in the wake of Bordeaux’s 1-0 loss at Stade Matmut Atlantique in the Ligue 1 encounter, Kalu said he was simply delighted to make his first outing in eight weeks for The Navy Blue-and-White.
The buzzing winger, who last featured in a 1-1 draw against AS Monaco on the day he got injured, was a substitute for Francois Kamano in the 61st minute of Saturday’s fixture.
The 21-year-old is now picking positives, ahead of his side’s last game on Friday away to Caen, ahead of which he took to social media to reveal his thoughts and faith in God to revive the club’s fortunes.
Kalu posted: “Amazing feeling to be back on the pitch. Not the result we want but we have to keep on working hard. God over everything.”
