Galatasary of Turkey striker, Henry Onyekuru is set to know his fate over a possible extension with the Turkish Super Lig outfit, or return to his parent club, Everton of England, as both teams are set to meet to hold talks on their immediate plans for the Super Eagles’ star.
Onyekuru is bound to know where he will ply his trade in the coming season, either in Merseyside or Istanbul, as Gala and The Toffees top brass will this week hold crunch talks to settle his future, but he is said to be in the sight of Olympique Marseille and Bayern Munich.
Megasportsarena.com gathered that the 22-year- old speedy winger-cum-striker may now be facing a tough decision ahead of him, as the offers from Marseille and Munich appear lucrative, while the chances of a work permit in England still look steep.
Onyekuru, though, has repeatedly stated that he remains committed to Galatasaray, where he was a hit in his first season, but, if he is to move this summer, he adds it would depend on where he would be assured of getting regular playing time.
Talk about playing elsewhere, though, runs contrary to the expectations of Galatasaray, who are fervently hoping to make his spell permanent, and a report by Turkish tabloid, Hurriyet indicates that the club have stepped up their efforts by setting up a meeting with Everton officials this next week to discuss the attacker’s future.
The Turkish giants are keen to keep Onyekuru, after he helped them to a league and cup double and, although his agent said his ward, who hit 14 goals last term, favours staying with the Super Lig giants, Bayern Munich are equally pressing for a deal this summer.
