AS Torino of Italy defender, Ola Aina is reportedly set to snub a lucrative offer from Leeds United of England, as he prefers to continue waxing strong in the Italian Serie A, megasportsarena.com reports.
A startling report out of The Land of The Azzurri confirmed that Leeds are truly interested in taking Aina back to England, where he started out with the academy of Chelsea and spent last season on loan at Fulham.
His previous steps in England’s various divisions also include stints with Hull City and West Ham United, but he does not appear eager to make a return to Queensland in a hurry, though the 25-year-old versatile full back has entered the last 18 months of his contract with Torino.
Aina is keen on staying put in the city of Turin, as The Maroons are thinking of holding him down with a new deal, though Italian transfer market website, Tuttomercatoweb affirmed that Leeds are interested in signing him in the January transfer window.
A citation in favour of Aina noted that he ‘would be an intriguing option for Premier League clubs as he is capable of playing several positions in defence and midfield, coupled with the fact that he is a homegrown player.
The dark-skinned lad, who has scored three goals in 85 career games across stints with Chelsea, Hull and Fulham, is capable of playing as a left-back, right-back, left wing-back, right wing-back or holding midfielder.
Aina was loaned out to Fulham for the whole of last season but had to return to Torino after The Cottagers decided against signing him and other loan signings, including Ademola Lookman, due to their demotion to the English Championship.
