It’s action attraction across the country today as Matchday 1 fixtures of the new Nigeria Professional Football League season will be completed with nine matches listed for Sunday, after Friday night opener in Lagos.

Remo Stars marked their return to the Nigerian top flight with a resounding 2-0 away win against MFM on Friday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Friday night, reports Megasportsarena.com.

It was a good start to the new NPFL season.

Nine other games are billed for Sunday.

Defending champions Akwa United will entertain Kano Pillars in Uyo while returnees, Gombe United confront 3SC of Ibadan in another tie.

Lobi Stars host Rivers United in Makurdi as Enyimba square up against Abia Warriors in a local derby.

The Akure stadium will play host to the Sunshine Stars v Wikki Tourists match.
