Ndidi/Leicester Talks Still Pending As Aston Villa Lurks

0

Talks between Wilfred Ndidi and Leicester City are ‘yet to begin’ amid a £50m claim from Aston Villa, Megasportsarena.com understands.

The Villans are reportedly interested in signing Leicester City defensive midfielder Wilfred Ndidi as Steven Gerrard looks to address that area of the squad.

Nigeria international Ndidi has been at Leicester since January 2017 when he was brought in as a replacement for N’Golo Kante, who had left for Chelsea the summer before.

It is understood that Ndidi, whose Leicester contract expires in 2024, is ‘yet to begin’ discussions over a contract extension with the club, despite interest in recent weeks from Gerard’s side as well as Manchester United.

Meanwhile, speaking ahead of the Foxes’ Europa Conference League game against Randers, Ndidi was asked if he was settled in Leicester.

“At the moment I am enjoying myself in Leicester,” he replied. “My family is here. My business degree is on hold.

“There was lockdown and then my daughter was born. I am looking forward to it maybe next year.”

Ndidi is currently studying a business and management degree at DeMontfort University in Leicester.
