Crystal Palace of England midfielder, Michael Olise is heading for a personal splash of honour in this season’s English FA Cup, as he has been nominated in the vote for player of the fourth round.
Megasportsarena.com gathered that the nomination comes for the Nigerian-born French youth international after his sparkling performance and goal in last weekend’s 4-1 victory over lower division side, Hartlepool United.
In recognition of his feat in the encounter, the fresh-faced youngster has now been named alongside four other players in the running for recognition as best player of the fourth round.
Those who Olise is up against are Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, Nottingham Forest attacking midfielder Brennan Johnson and Boreham Wood goalkeeper Taye Ashby-Hammond.
It is fitting recognition for the lad, who, for the second game in a row in this season’s FA Cup, got a goal and an assist, as he delivered a man of the match performance in a 2-0 victory for The Eagles at Selhurst Park and helped his team hook a spot in the fifth round.
The 20-year-old Olise, who has six appearances in the FA Cup, scoring two goals and providing three assists, got the nod after his dazzling display saw him drift stylishly into the box and send the goalkeeper the wrong way in the 22nd minute.
