The Tricolor of Mexico have scheduled a friendly match with the Super Eagles of Nigeria as part of their preparations for the FIFA World Cup later this year.
Gerardo Martino’s men, who qualified for the Qatar showpiece alongside the United States of America and Canada from North American zone, are in the World Cup group C with Poland, Argentina and Saudi Arabia.
The Super Eagles lost out in the World Cup playoff against Ghana, but will be content with playing friendly matches as they also prepare for the qualifying matches for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted in Ivory Coast.
Qatar will host the Middle East region’s first World Cup in November and December this year without Nigeria, who shockingly failed to qualify for the Mundial.
