RB Salzburg of Austria youngster, Karim Adeyemi will cost a princely €42.5m for either Barcelona or Real Madrid of Spain to lure him over to the Spanish LaLiga this summer, megasportsarena.com reports.
This is sequel to updated reports over the prolonged transfer saga rocking the Nigerian-born attacker, who Borussia Dortmund of Germany are also keen on luring away from Salzburg.
The report out of Austria added that the 20-year-old Adeyemi, who has three international caps with Germany, could be on his way to Spain at the end of this season, though he is under contract at Salzburg until June 2024.
This is sequel to current ratings that make him one of the brightest prospects in Europe, with 19 goals in 33 appearances across all competitions so far this season.
Although Dortmund were initially said to be closing on a deal to sign Adeyemi with a five-year contract offer, German news outlet , Nachrichten disclosed that negotiations with his representatives have stalled.
That development has alerted both Barca and Real Madrid, but both Spanish sides would be required to fork out around €42.5m to prise the striker away from Salzburg this summer.
