Ibrahim Gusau has been elected the new president of the Nigeria Football Federation, reports Megasportsarena.com.
The Zamfara FA chairman, who replaces Amaju Pinnick, won Friday’s election in Benin City after polling 39 votes out of a possible 41.
Peterside Idah, a former Super Eagles goalie, who got a solitary vote in the first round of ballot, presented himself for the run-off after Seyi Akinwunmi and Shehu Dikko stepped down from the race, and ended up having just a vote yet again.
Shehu Gusau takes the reins after eight years of Amaju Pinnick that ended with Nigeria failing to qualify for the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
