Fikayo Tomori Reveals Maldini Influence In Move To Milan

Fikayo Tomori has recalled leaving Chelsea for AC Milan.

The defender joined Milan 18 months ago, signing permanently last summer.

He credits Italian football legend Paolo Maldini for playing a huge role in his decision to remain at the club.

He said: “Anyone who follows football knows what Milan is, a great club known all over the world.

“And then it was (Paolo) Maldini to want me, as a defender was an aspect that made me very happy.

“I remember the first Champions League match at home, against Atletico: even if we didn’t win, the atmosphere was incredible.”
