The Super Eagles have ended the year 2021 in 5th position in Africa and 36th in the world in the last FIFA ranking of the year released on Thursday by the world soccer governing body.
Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations group opponents are ranked below the Super Eagles.
Their first group opponents, Egypt are 44th in the world while Guinea Bissau and Sudan are ranked 109th and 123rd respectively.
