Genk sports director Dmitri De Conde has set a June 1 deadline for Feyenoord Rotterdam to decide if they want to sign Cyriel Dessers permanently.
The Genk loanee has scored 15 goals in 33 appearances this season, with most of those strikes in the Europa Conference League, where he is the joint highest goalscorer with Tammy Abraham of Roma.
Dmitri Conde insists that the Dutch club must make their intentions known on time or risk missing out on the striker.
“Whether we see Dessers in a Genk shirt next season depends on Feyenoord,” Conde was quoted by Voetbalkrant.
“They have until June 1 to put the option in the contract. If they don’t, then it is certainly an option to let Dessers make a new start here.
“I’ve always said that he will always and everywhere be good for 15 goals.”
