AC Milan have had their opening offer of €4 million for Nigerian midfielder Raphael Onyedika rejected by FC Midtjylland, Megasportsarena.com understands.
The Rossoneri have launched an assault for the midfielder but they will need to make a new offer to secure his services.
The first offer of €4 million was rejected, it is believed that the Danish side want at least double that figure.
The 21-year-old midfielder is admired by technical director Paolo Maldini and sporting director Frederic Massara and they believe he would strengthen their midfield.
Milan’s first choice is still Onyedika despite the rejection of their first offer, but should the Midtjylland man prove impossible to secure then the Rossoneri would switch focus to Onana.
Updates are expected this week, with Milan still focusing their efforts on Onyedika for the time being.
