Ademola Lookman played a key role in Leicester City’s semifinal qualification in the UEFA Europa Conference League as they secured a 2-1 win over PSV, Megasportsarena.com reports.
The Super Eagles new boy provided the killer pass as Ricardo Pereira grabbed the second Leicester goal in the 88th minute to secure a place in the last four.
Lookman collected a beautiful pass around the corner from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, the Nigerian winger found Daka whose shot was saved by Mvogo – but Ricardo was there to finish on the rebound.
Lookman came off the bench in place of Harvey Barnes in the 46th while Kelechi Iheanacho, who started the game but was substituted off in place of Ayoze Perez in the 65th minute.
Iheanacho, who had a relatively quiet night in front of goal, however had his moment in the game. He put Barnes completely through at some point but the Leicester No 7 could only fire wide, despite having Maddison free as a square option.
Young goalkeeper Chituru Odunze was on the substitutes bench, while PSV’s Nonso Madueke missed out entirely due to fitness issues.
The Foxes reach first ever European semi-final via comeback win at the King Power Stadium and will face Jose Mourinho’s Roma, who beat Bodo/Glimt 4-0.
