HB Hacken of Sweden winger, Godswill Ekpolo has disclosed that he is taking his time over a contract extension with the club because it is a decision that will affect his career.
The 26-year-old former Barcelona of Spain forward, who has become an assist master with Hacken, since joining the Scandinavian outfit on 2018, admitted he is not in any hurry to agree fresh terms.
Megasportsarena.com reports that Ekpolo went on to admit that he loves the club a lot and fully appreciates all they have done for him in the three years he has spent with them.
Regardless of the memories and nostalgia, though, Ekpolo opted to be philosophical in his conclusion about his future at Hacken, as he says it is either he stays or he moves on.
The former under-23 national team, Olympic Eagles’ invitee also conceded thst his agent is already holding talks with Hacken’s transfer buffs, but stressed that he will not rush the outcome.
Ekpolo submitted: “I love Hacken; they have given me a lot. Now I have to make a decision that affects my career.
“I need to choose whether to stay or leave. If I need to leave, I’ll leave. If I need to stay, I’ll stay.
“I have to make a decision that benefits my career. I have to think about myself first.”
