Calvin Bassey superstar status has been attracting interest from all the major leagues in Europe.
From Serie A to the Premier League and from the Eredivisie to now, the Bundesliga, Megasportsarena.com reports.
The Nigerian is hot property and a lot of clubs have been busy “preparing” bids for his services.
After 37 games for the Ibrox side and 6 international caps with the Super Eagles, it would seem that Bassey is viewed as the real deal, with Eintracht Frankfurt ready to go one step further in their bid preparations and raise the stakes by a further £10 million beyond his modest £25 million valuation.
Prior to this, Ajax were willing to meet the Ibrox side’s valuation of the player.
But now it appears a bidding war for his signing is well and truly under way.
According to a report in Frankfurt:
“We realise the potential of Bassey and we really want to secure his services. So we are currently busy preparing a bid. Bid preparation can be a tricky thing, you must get all the factors correct in this preparation to ensure that nothing is left to chance.”
The main aim for the Ibrox side is to beat the current Scottish transfer record of £25 million, set by Celtic in 2019 with the sale of Kieran Tierney to Arsenal.
Once their bid preparations are complete, it is rumoured they will submit a bid of £35 million for Bassey’s services.
