Dele Alli In Dilemma Of Choice Between West Ham United, Newcastle

Tottenham Hotspur of England want-away dazzler, Bamidele (Dele) is facing a dilemma of choice between West Ham United and Newcastle United, as he edges closer to the exit door at White Hart Lane.

Megasportsarena.com gathered that, with Spurs having already agreed to let the Nigerian-born England international leave either on loan or in a full contract next month, the race is on for Alli’s next port of call.

Initial reports indicated that he could be en route to joining his former coach at Spurs, Antonio Conte at Newcastle, but now an option of staying put in London has come his way from West Ham.

The once boisterous attacking midfielder, who shot to limelight at Milton Keynes Don, another London-based lower division side, may cherish the idea of staying put in the UK capital, thereby conjuring images of a deal with The Hammers in January.

A leading British football writer, Oliver Thomas wrote in Sportsmole.com: “West Ham United are reportedly set to battle with Newcastle United for the signing of Tottenham Hotspur’s Dele Alli in January.

“The 25-year-old was handed his first Premier League start under Antonio Conte in the 2-2 with Liverpool last weekend, however the Italian head coach is not convinced that the midfielder will remain part of his long-term plans.

“Alli is believed to have been given the green light to leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the winter window, with an initial loan move the most likely option.

“According to Eurosport, both West Ham and Newcastle are interested in signing Alli, but a move for the midfielder will depend on whether they are successful in their pursuit of Manchester United’s Jesse Lingard, who is believed to be the primary midfield target for both David Moyes and Eddie Howe.

“The report adds that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy would prefer Alli to move abroad, with the Bundesliga the most likely destination should the Englishman decide to leave the Premier League.

“Alli, who will see his contract expire in June 2024, has made 266 appearances for Tottenham across all competitions, scoring 67 goals and registering 61 assists.”
