Aston Villa of England youngster, Carney Chukwuemeka has received a strong charge not to dump the English Premier League club, but stick around for ‘something special’ that will happen to the team under the charge of their new coach, Steven Gerrard.
The admonition is coming from a legend of The Villans, Lee Hendrie, who reasoned that the Nigerian-born midfielder represents everything about the future at Villa Park and stressed that he cannot see any reason why the lad would want to leave.
Megasportsarena.com gathered that Chukwuemeka is attracting interest from bigger clubs in the EPL, but Hendrie posited: “It’s important what Villa are actually building at the moment. That’s what should make him want to stay there.
“Something’s special is going to happen at this football club. I’ve got no doubt about it. I’m not saying it’s going to come under Steven, I’ve just got this belief that this club is slowly transitioning into.
“I’m not saying they’re going to win the Premier League, but they are certainly going to start to compete back being amongst that European spot at some stage.
“What they’ve done recruiting youngsters and they have done that because they fell away from recruiting young players. Now, they’ve got a crop of youngsters that are going to keep filtering through.
“Now, if Stevie can add to that and bring in extra-special players that can nurture them youngsters I feel Villa are certainly going in the right direction. That’s why I say that these youngsters should certainly stay around. They should stick around.”
