Victor Boniface scored a brace for Royale Union SG in their 3-3 draw at home to Braga which guarantees them a spot in the knockout round of the UEFA Europa League, reports Megasportsarena.com.
Boniface scored in the 20th minute to make it 1-1 and netted in the 62nd minute to tie the game at 3-3.
Braga drew the first blood through Vitinha after just 15 minutes, but they were pegged back the Nigerian who received a pass from Bart Nieuwkoop and drilled a blinder that beat Braga goalkeeper Matheus and nestled at the bottom right corner of the net.
Vitinha capitalized on sloppy defending by the Belgian club it to score two goals and give Braga a 3-1 lead going into the break.
On resumption, Dante Vanzeir pulled one back to make it 3-2 and in the 62nd minute, Boniface turned up to scored a spectacular goal. He leapt to meet a cross from an awkward position and sent a strong header that beat Matheus again.
Boniface could have completed a hat trick in the 87th minute, but his shot just drifted off target.
The 23 year old Boniface now has three goals in four Europa League appearances this season.
