Arsenal Locked In Transfer Brawl with Tottenham For Young Nigerian Talent

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Lesley Ugochukwu from Stade Rennes in the summer transfer window.

Megasportsarena.com reports that Arsenal see Ugochukwu as the next Patrick Vieira and are considering making a bid for the Frenchman this summer. The Gunners have been following the 18 year old for months and are more and more convinced about making a move.

The midfielder turned 18 two days ago but is already attracting plenty of attention with his performances. He is a very good and combative player who can hold his own in the middle of the park.

And he is just a teenager, which means that he is only going to grow and develop his game even further.

Ugochukwu has made three starts and 10 substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for Rennes so far this season, scoring one goal in the process.

It will be interesting to see if Arsenal and Tottenham do eventually make a bid for the youngster, and how much Rennes ask for him.
