Former Arsenal of England youth team player, Xavier Amaechi is set to stay put at Bolton Wanderers on loan from SV Hamburg of Germany, megasportsarena.com reports.
Although initial reports revealed that Amaechi should be on his way out of The Trotters in the January transfer window and head back to Hamburg, the Nigerian-born winger is set to extend his loan with Bolton.
The deal was expected to expire in January, but a report by German publication, BILD indicated that talks have commenced between both clubs about extending Amaechi’s stay at the Manchester-based lower division side till end of the season,
This is despite the fact that Amaechi, who is tied to Hamburg until 2023, has managed just six appearances for Bolton, though his time with the English League One outfit has been blighted by a metatarsal injury.
