RB Leipzig of Germany winger, Ademola Lookman has received an offer to join Newcastle United of England on loan, as The Magpies are planning a deal that would see the once fearsome and highly-favoured former Everton youngster back in the English Premier League, megasportsarena.com has learnt.
Lookman’s second spell at Leipzig has not turned out to be as fantastic as the first one on loan from Everton was, and Newcastle are now trying to give him an escape route by lining up a January transfer coup for the former England youth international.
The report out of Queensland adds that Newcastle are willing to sign the 22-year-old Lookman from Leipzig on loan with an option to buy, despite having joined the German Bundesliga side from Everton just six months ago.
However, within that time, Lookman has struggled for game at Leipzig this season, starting just once in the league, and a report by Sky Sports disclosed that Newcastle hope he can be the ace winger they have been searching for, even as they know he has a five-year deal with RBL.
A report by Sky Deutschland added that Lookman wants to move onto pastures new six months after due to a lack of first-team opportunities, with permutations now rising high that the ex-Charlton Athletic of England lad may end up spending the second part of this season on loan at Saint James’ Park, with a buy-on option inserted into the contract.
The 22-year-old winger-cum-attacker cost Leipzig 18 million euros when he was acquired on a permanent basis in July 2019, and he has gone on to garner 200 minutes under his boots in all competitions so far this season, 131 in the German Bundesliga and 69 in the UEFA Champions League, but he started in only two of them.
