Chelsea of England are relying on the transfer fee they expect to get from the sale of former Super Eagles’ winger, Victor Moses to help them buy Declan Rice from fellow-London-based English Premier League side West Ham United and Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund of Germany.
Megasportsarena.com reports that Moses is currently on loan at Spartak Moscow until the end of this season but, with the once-fiery winger failing to stamp his authority at two previous bases before moving to the East European nation, Chelsea are wont to sell him off altogether next month.
Information out of England has now confirmed that Moses is one of seven Chelsea players that will head for the exit door at Stamford Bridge in the summer, as The Blues bank on the potential sales to garner funds that would help them successfully pull off the pursuit of their former youth academy player, Rice and Haaland.
Sky Sports News’ writer, Angelo Mangiante added that other Cheslea players heading for the exit along with Moses are Antonio Rudiger, Ross Barkley, Jorginho, Danny Drinkwater, Marcos Alonso and Andreas Christensen.
The report adds: “Moses is not in the plans of manager Frank Lampard and is spending the whole of this season on loan at Spartak Moscow, his sixth loan spell since transferring to Chelsea in August 2012 after spells at Liverpool, Stoke City, West Ham, Fenerbahce and Inter Milan.
“Spartak Moscow paid a loan fee of 300,000 euro to Chelsea with the option to buy the Nigerian permanently set at five million euro. The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner was a key member of the Chelsea squad that won the Premier League in 2017 and the FA Cup the following year. “
