Reading of England’s fast-rising Nigerian-born French youth international, Michael Olise is attracting transfer interest from AC Milan of Italy, megasportsarena.com reports.
With the January transfer window set to open next weekend, talk has reached feverish point about Olise’s market value, with strong prospects of a move looming for him.
While the initial speculation had been about the lad moving upwards to a club in the English Premier League from his current base in the lower division Championship, the latest angle to the story indicates that Olise has gained the eye of a top scout at Milan.
Consequently, La Rossoneri are now exploring ways to sign Olise from Reading and Serie B News added that the France youth international could jolly well make the move from The Royals to San Siro in the coming month because he is top on the mind of renowned intermediary, Geoffrey Moncada, who is now the chief scout of AC Milan.
However, it was further gathered that Milan plan to buy Olise then loan him to a smaller club in the lower division, with Monza, SPAL, Lecce and Chievo Verona already mention among the leading teams where technical buffs at Milan believe the youngster would be able to adequately and effectively continue his development.
The report adds: “Olise is in the final eighteen months of his contract with Reading whom he joined after spells with Chelsea and Manchester City.
“If there turns out to be a bidding war for the French-Nigerian wonderkid, it is believed that Milan won’t be favourites for his signature, with the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal credited with an interest in the 19-year-old.
“Wolverhampton Wanderers, Leeds United, Crystal Palace and Leicester City are the other Premier League clubs plotting a move for the Reading number 7. He is having a banner season, scoring four goals and registering seven assists in 20 games in the Championship.”
